Version WPMU 2.8.6
Version BBpress 1.0.2

I have tried all the things I have seen previously suggested...
- Installed the bbpress integration plugin on the WPMU installation, and cross references all the cookie auth keys and salts and things, including adding the lines requested by the plugin.

Can someone write it out for me step by step. The user databases are shared, but I just need my cookies to work. Screen shots and example config.php very welcome. Many thanks, Andrew

The plugins link on the administration pages no longer works. We have not changed anything in the backend or the database or added any new plugins but suddenly, the plugins are no longer accessible.

When I click plugins in any blog, instead of loading http://myblogURL/wp-admin/plugins.php it tries to download the file. That is on firefox on a Mac. Firefox on a PC just loads a blank page. Safari gives the following error message

Safari can’t open the page “http://myblogURL/wp-admin/plugins.php” because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. This sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait for a few minutes, and then try again.

Anybody have any ideas?

I'm having an odd problem with one of the blogs on my WPMU installation. It will not show any themes. The themes are available for selection, but when you load the page, it's text only with no styles applied. Same thing happens in preview.

If I go to one of the other blogs, the themes are properly applied. I;m not sure why this one blog will not show themes properly. Any help on troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated.

With two hosts you'd have two different installs of WPMU, which kind of defeats the point.

If you want wildcard subdomains, move the whole install over to the host that supports it. Save yourself pulling your hair out.

No, your question is different. The OP wanted the users in there first, and then a blog created after they paid.

When a user signs up in MU, they can have a blog right off the bat when they create their username.

Do you have a list of users you're trying to add in and want a blog created for each of them automatically?

hi, i am interested in changing the urls of my blogs

eg. http://MYBLOG.hyrxx.com

to respond to usernames instead such as http://USERNAME.hyrxx.com

this would load thier buddypress profile located at http://hyrxx.com/members/USERNAME
and thier blog would be accessed at http://username.com/blog
along with the other profile modules in the same manner

does anyone have any things i can read that might help me with this

to complicate it just a little more i have the domain mapping plugin installed and allow users to add domains to thier "profile" so i would like these to be masked in the same way like http://username.com shows http://hyrxx.com/members/USERNAME / http://USERNAME.hyrxx.com

thanks for any help

Thanks. I've only played with SVN with test sites. So you guys use SVN to check out from trunk and it only downloads the files that have been changed since the last release?
