The emails are sent from wordpress using the internal php mailer on the server. So, this means a few emails get dumped on the other end. First check the server to make sure the emails are getting sent out.

You are so right - just misread it. Idle processes will tend to get swapped out and so don't take much CPU or memory. You can configure various aspects of the httpd - specifically : The MaxSpareServers direct

You'd really need to use the same domain name for both internal and external access, and then set yyour internal DNS so that the specific hostname used for that site is reflected internally. Having a problem

As I said, I've been trying for weeks. I have been through all the posts and tried various solutions, none of which work. Further, when no code should be executed, the redirect still transpires. It's maddening.

You can hack teh files but you wind up doing a redirect of a redirect of a redirect of a redirect. (I think it's four) It's not pretty.
