Hi Folks I'm new (probably a dumb question have looked in the FAQ's but can't see anything that deals with this?)

I have just upgraded from wordpress.com to wordpress.org and sadly one of my favourite things is missing I have 2.7 installed.

In the free wordpress.com blog there is an option to click Custom Image Header under the appearance tab which isn't there in wordpress.org

It worked really easily too (grrr!) just browse to an image upload it and then a new screen gave you the option to crop it and bam there was your new image at the top of your blog with the blog name printed over the top

I can't seem to find any plug in that works as simply as the .com one? is there one or something similar?

    Thanks for your help

    Lee

We've got it too. :-) You just have to select a theme (also under the Appearance menu item) that actually has an image in the header to customize.

You may need to install a theme or two first, I can't remember if any come in the standard install package. You'll find a ton of them here for free:

*Just in case you didn't know, you are in the forums for the MU (multi-user) version of Wordpress. My response in this case won't matter, but if in the future you need support with the single user version, you may find http://wordpress.org/support/ more relevant.
