Possible to Promote a Post to the Main Blog? (4 posts)

Okay...I'm helping a popular blog move from Drupal to Wordpress, but one of the features they have now that they told me they absolutely can't do without is the "promote to front page" of Drupal.

I know the consensus in the past here has been to copy-and-paste to the main blog with a link, but the admins for the site I'm helping would like to promote a post on a sub-blog to the main blog and still allow the original author--who probably won't have the author role on the main blog--to edit and update their posts.

I was not able to find a plugin that does this, and I've tried making each user a subscriber on the main blog by default and giving subscribers "edit own post" permissions, but I'm at a loss and I need help.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.

Well, sounds like some 'featured post' plugin will work here. What do you think? Tried something like this?
