rather mu is creating blog at vinod.kaytree.com/blog

That's because you installed in within a subdirectory under your root. The mu files need to be installed within the root of where you;re going to run blogs off of, in this case kaytree.com. Please take a few moments and review the readme file included with the download.

    Good luck

(actually, the readme is a bit confusing in that area, as it says to install it in a folder and rename it...)

And you didn't do the wildcard subdomain bit.

    Hello,

Yes its a bit confusing, as it also states directory installation.
anyways, plz guide me if you think it is possible to do
    subdomain.domain.tld
    instead of
    subdomain.domain.tld/blog/

Yes it is. Put all the MU files in the root.

    Hello andrea_r,

No i can't do that, as there are several files already running.
Is there any other way out with .htaccess or dns something ?

    Nope.

If you want subdomain.domain.tld, MU has to be installed at domain.tld.
