    Hello,
Would it be possible to have one theme for the main installation wp:mu and then a different one for every new created blog? If so, how could I make this possible?

Simply put the theme you want in the "home" directory. And go to Admin Control Panel and disable it.

And put another theme under the directory "default" and enable it at your Admin Control Panel.

    That's all.

You don't actually need to do this. Just pick the theme you want for the main blog, and then disable it under Site Admin -> Themes. No need to rename the folder.

And, if you use my new blog defaults plugin, you can control which theme gets provisioned with new sites.

Yeah, I love that plugin. that way you can't accidentally blow away your new "default" theme on upgrade. ;)
