How to add all users as author to a forum blog? (3 posts)

While updating to 2.7.1 we added P2 microblogging to the collection of themes. Now we'd like to set up a support forum based on a blog using that theme. Although I can define this blog as the "Dashboard blog" so that new users are automatically added to that blog, there doesn't seem to be any convenient way to add all the already existing users to that blog as well.

Any tips for a solution? I'm aware of the Add User Widget, but I'd like all the users to be added automatically and I wouldn't want to enable that widget for the users' blogs.

If you make that one the dashboard blog, all existing users will be moved over to it.

    Did you try it??

I did, but it doesn't seem to do the trick. Based on the instructions on the site admin options page I got impression that rights to dashboard blog are given automatically only for new users and/or users without a blog. Anyway, existing users who have blogs don't get those rights.
