    Hi All,

    I have just upgraded wpmu on my test server before implementing on my live server.
    After the complete upgrade was done I only had one error in my error log, which keeps coming every time I opened /wp-admin/profile.php.

    <error>
    The error in the error log is:
    mod_rewrite: maximum number of internal redirects reached. Assuming configuration error. Use 'RewriteOptions MaxRedirects' to increase the limit if neccessary., referer: http://----.nl/wp-admin/profile.php

    Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error. Use 'LimitInternalRecursion' to increase the limit if necessary. Use 'LogLevel debug' to get a backtrace., referer: http://----.nl/wp-admin/profile.php
    </error>

    Looks like there is a loop in the user-edit.php or something. Is anyone familiar with this problem, so maybe there will be a patch coming for it?

    best regards,
    Leon

    Did you try upping your redirection limits on the server?

    Hi Andrea,

    Not yet. I'm not sure if there's no downside to up the limit and also if there is no loop in the script.

    Well, up the limit first to see. Plenty of threads here with a similar message on different pages in different circumstances.

    Also, I recently upgrades a site and don't have the same issue, so it's less likely that it's a bug.
