maximum number of internal redirects reached (4 posts)

Installed MU using the folder approach, and imported some data/posts. When I navigate to one of the folder/blogs I get the page ok, but my server logs report "maximum number of internal redirects reached." What gives with this?

You can up the number of internal redirects. On some setups, it's quite low.

Sure, but it seems that this shouldn't be happening with a basically out-of-the-box implementation. Otherwise the installation instructions would advise you to bump that as a matter of course.

I'm thinking this is indicative of a broader issue, but I can't put my finger on it quite yet.

I did a re-install and most of the issues went away. (Something must have gotten munged somewhere.) Then figured out that the redirects I was trying to add were getting screwed up by falling through to the standard WP .htaccess stuff. When I appended [L] to my added .htaccess lines, everything worked perfectly.
