    Hello Everyone.

I am struggling trying to make what seems like a simple change to me. :-)

Right now, my blog is on page http://example.com/blogs/ and any new blogs have the link http://example.com/blogs/newbloghere/

The rest of my site uses the "www" in front of all the URLs, for example http://www.example.com/ and I would like for my blogs to also use the "www" prefix. I've used phpAdmin and I can make the individual changes but that's tedious to have to do that every time a new blog is created.

How can I change my existing blogs to add the "www" to the URL also have it added to any new blogs.

Thanks in advance for your help!
    Kelley

Its been discussed over and over again, so try a search. You'll have to wade through quite a few threads which are nothing but discussion but some of them do contain the changes you need to make to the core WPMU files to allow you to do it, and of course on each upgrade you'll have to change those files again.

    Thanks,

A search for WWW finds a thread which links to another discussion thread which has the following link?

Thanks! I gave that a try and now when I try to access my blog, I get the following error in FireFox:

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

You do the hack (if needed, you may not need it in the newer versions) and then you install, making sure you put www in the address.

So go though your database and put www in front of everything.

But really, it should be server tweaking that gets you r sub-blogs to answer for www requests in front of the subdomain.

Search in your database http://example.com and then replace each and every http://example.com by http://www.example.com

    It will definitely work

    Bbye
