    Hello!

I do have a big problem. You can register whith a username, whick already exists. It seems, that WPMU does't check the avaibility for the username. So the new "user" overreides the old "user" after his registration!
    I do need help!!! Please!

It's a WPMU installation with Buddypress!

    Thanks a lot!

    Hello!

Thanks for your answer! If I deaktivate BuddyPress I get this error:

Warning: require(BP_PLUGIN_DIR/bp-core/bp-core-signup.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /www/htdocs/XXXXXXX/XX_blog/wp-content/themes/bphome/functions.php on line 70

    Do you understand this?

    Thanks a lot!

I tried it again. Now I know that's not a problem of Buddypress. Because if I deactivate it, the problem is still there. It's also possible to take everytime the same email-adress.

    I do need help! Please!

What version of WPMU are you using? I can't register names that have already been used and I can't register a new name against an email address that's already in the database.

    bbPress integration
    Cosmic BP User Signup Password
    FeedWordPress

    and at the mu-plugins folder:
    ahp-recent posts
    cets blog defaults
    cets simple dashboard
    custom content dashboard widget
    ds toggle admin menus
    ds toggle meta boxes
    limit blogs per user
    mp change admin footer text
    sitemap for wpmu
    sitewide tags
    slimbox

I'm sure its one of the plugins - try removing anything to do with user accounts.

    Hello!
You're right! It's the wp-invites Plugin! But I really need it for the registration because I don't want that everyone cans register and I also won't that users are able to register.
    It's this Plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-invites/

Do you have an Idear, why it does'n work with WPMU 2.8.3?

    Greetings

    Philipp

I've no idea, the best thing to do is raise it as a question on the support forums on the WP site as the developer might not be a regular reader of these forums.

All right. I'm going to do so!

But you also don't know a plugin, which makes the same!?

So thank you very much for the help!

    Best regars

It probably doesn't work right as it's for single WP where the registration process is different.

Try this one for MU - http://wpmudevorg.wordpress.com/project/secure-invitations

    Thanks!

But I don't want, that the users are able to invite users. Only the Site Admin should be able to invite. Is that possible with this PlugIn?

    Thanks!

Not sure, you'll have to try it. It should be easy enough to make it that way though.
