Why "bloggers" have access to "Admin" main blog? WPMU+Buddypress (1 post)

Installation worked fine, key plugins working fine (tatazara.com), and hopping to open the site in about one week. Now that I am testing it as a user, I noticed as a new member that the buddypress navigation bar allows me to enter into the "Admin" section of the site owner. Although it did not allow me to delete posts, it still lists them. This is in addition to the blogger having his own "admin" for whateve blog he created. I am missing something? I surely would have to find ways to disable any access to tatazara.com/wp-admin That cant happen. By the way: I picked the default role for members as "subscriber" in the "Dashboard blog" but after saving, it won't even take it and enorce it and defaults back to "contributor" which I suspect is the problem. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
