Problem with domain mapping (2 posts)

I took the plunge and set up a hosting account with wpwebhost. I've got my WPMU installation up and running and I'd like to use the domain mapping features.

For example's sake, lets say I've got the main WPMU installation running on http://www.domain1.com. I then setup a subdomain blog at subdomain.domain1.com. I'd like to map http://www.domain2.com to the subdomain blog at subdomain.domain1.com. Here's what I've done:

1.) Installed the domain mapping plugin.
2.) In the Domain Mapping configuration area of http://www.domain1.com, I've entered the IP address of my server.
3.) In the Domain Mapping configuration area of subdomain.domain1.com, I've entered the correct domain for http://www.domain2.com.
4.) In the DNS settings for http://www.domain2.com, on my domain registrar's site, I've entered the IP address of my server into the A record for http://www.domain2.com.

Now, when I navigate to the URL for http://www.domain2.com, I wind up at the public cPanel page for my domain. It says, "Apache is working on your cPanel® and WHM™ Server" at the top. If I navigate to the URL for subdomain.domain1.com, I get the same thing. It's likely that there's something incredibly obvious I've overlooked here. But I don't know what it is. Any ideas out there?

The obvious thing I overlooked was creating a parked domain in the wpwebhost cPanel. Once I did that and changed http://www.domain2.com's nameservers to wpwebhost, it worked.
