Newbie Integrated Blog Content Question (5 posts)

I currently have an education blog and want to convert it to one where teachers and parents can blog, connect, etc. I'm looking at converting to Wordpress Mu and possibly using Buddy press. However, I want each of the member blogs to be integrated into the site like on http://www.gigaom.com. This site is using Mu and Buddy Press so I'm assuming there's a way to accomplish what I'm looking for:

For example, here's a listing of the Gigaom "analyts":

    http://pro.gigaom.com/analysts/

Here's an example of the blogger page:

    http://pro.gigaom.com/2009/05/the-future-of-pay-tv-services/

Another great example I'd like to follow is at http://www.lumberjoocks.com. I have no idea what platform this site is on but again, each individual blogger's content is integrated into the site rather than appearing on different looking individual blogs.

    Here's a blog listing page:

    http://lumberjocks.com/blogs

And, here's a blog article page:
    http://lumberjocks.com/Scarcraig01/blog/10777

Any advice, guidance, direction is very much appreciated!!

Sorry, I misstated the URL above in error. It's lumberjocks.com as the second example. I tried to correct it and reposted the question. Moderator, can you please delete forum post and keep the other one?

The member blogs use the same theme or similar copy to the main blog. Easy. Pretty much how BuddyPress works.

In MU, you - the site admin - control what theme are available and can control what theme is set on the blogs by default. that's all they did on gigaom.

The member profiles are control by the buddypress part.

Andrea, so if I want it to appear as though the user's blog is within the site, I just make sure that we're all using the same theme, right?

Thanks so much for you help.
