I'm trying to get query-posts working site-wide, so I can show the most recent posts from each blog (I have 4 blogs).
I can see that each category in the site uses a unique cat id - is there a way to make these work on each blog?

There is a recent posts plugin which will do that for you
Wicked - do you have a link? I've found a few but they seem to be really old.
And they still work. :)
