I'm getting this error message at a clean install:
    http://managementplatform.nl
I don't even have the change to point it at a database.

I have no clue what to do.
    Can anyone help me?

I've installed this before with no problems. Then I deleted everything.. And did a new install and got this problem.
When I delete the database I got the error..
    Cannot establish a database connection.

    Thanks in advance

    So you deleted the database?

WPMU can't create a DB - it needs one there to install into.

    Hey Steve,
    Thanks for being quick.

But it's before I'm connecting it to a database.
It's that after I uploaded the content from the wordpress-mu folder to the root of my server..
I should get these fields where I put in my database info.
I would gladly give my ftp info (and access to database) if you can help me.

You;re not creating the config file are you? Let it do that itself. Just place the files on the serve,r then visit the URL in a browser.

    Hi Andrea,

I didn't create the config file myself.
Placed the files from the wordpress-mu folder in the root and visited managementplatform.nl but still the error.

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

Is it picking up another config file from somewhere?

    Hey..
    It worked.
For some reason it already created the config.php file.. (it was the 1000th attempt so it doesn't surprice me) but it was invisible in my ftp program.

I deleted it.. and went a couple steps back.. and finished the install.

Thank you both for the help.

I'm glad you got it working!

I suggest you change the main theme!
