i had a test server running 2.8.4 and ldap was installing fine.

in the production environment i put 2.9.1 and then upgraded to 2.9.1.1 and try to install the ldap mu plugin (wpmu-ldap_2.8.4) and it is not installing. i get a error with no error message specifics in the window and it says there is a fatal error.

    any ideas ?

i'm running iis 6.0 and php on a windows server and never had a problem till upgrading to 2.9.1.1

    thanks

Check and see if the plugin has been updated for the newer version of MU.

And check your error logs. If there was a fatal error, it should have been written there.

I have two separate WPMU 2.9.1.1 sites successfully running the ldap 2.8.4 plugin. Both sites are on a LAMP server though, not IIS/windows.

I agree with Andrea, check the logs on the server.

    500 Internal Server Error.

that's all i can see, and can't see what it's trying to do..

That's just looking at it in the browser, that's not checking the error logs on the server itself. Those logs have nothing to do with WP or MU.

Ask your host if you don;t know where they are.

i've looked at the logs, and can't see anything out of the ordinary. i'm gonna keep on looking and see if it might have to be with the iaspi rewrite. or something like that.

there is nothing in your apache error log for a 500 error?
