Removing post content from main site /blog/ page (2 posts)

    Greetings.

    I had posted this on the Buddypress forum but I realised it's a Wordpress question instead.

    In order to avoid duplicate content on my site I think it's a good idea to remove the post content from the blog page, leaving only the title.

    Do you think so, and where do I get into this loop?

    No, I don't think so actually.

    This is a theme function and many themes have handled it quite well. Done right, google won't see the main blog page as the "home" of each permalink. also, it changes, so that's kind of irrelevant.

    Biggest thing you can do is don't have category based permalinks AND put one post in two categories. that'll get you duplicate content.
