I have a system based on MS SQL and ASP, with 1500 authors, 100.000 POSTS and 15.000 comments.
I loved Wordpress Mu funcionalities, specially with Buddypress integration. My chalenge: migrate 1500 authors, 100.000 posts and 15000 comments.
In my mind, I would need a PHP routine that would enable me:
- import 1500 authors, opening 1500 seperate blogs;
- import all individuals author´s categories (IN FACT, TODAY, THEY SHARE A COMMUM LIST OF CATEGORIES, around 20)
- import all POSTS from each author (150 of them have more then 100 posts, the maximum number of post is around 4500)
- import all comments for each post (in average 0,2 comments by post)
- import all "friends" of each author (name, e-mail)
Sincerelly, I don´'t know how to do this challenge - or where to start it.
I have seen the import section from other blogs, but my system is not a traditional blog. Is a usual system, where I have authors and posts and related posts, all friends, in a unique database.
Can you help me do solve this challenge, as sson as possible? I do not charge my users, my site is free of use. I would love to migrate everything to WORD PRESS MU, giving to each author an seperate blog.
