    Hi,

on a subdirectory installation of wpmu i'm trying to work with the wordpress internal function for static homepages.

I've set a page as homepage and another one as the blog page. I'm trying to have the home page on http://domain.com/ and the blog page on http://domain.com/blog

It seems that's a bit tricky as http://domain.com/blog get's automatically redirected to http://domain.com automatically. Is this hardcoded anywhere?

Anyone with an idea how the problem could be solved?

    Yes, it is.

Don't use the settings under Reading. Make a new Page called Blog. Save it.

i got it the second time reading your post. What do you mean by "don't use the settings under Reading"? If i don't use them how do i tell wordpress to use a special page as frontpage and another one as the blog page by just adding a page called "blog"?

    uhh totally forgot this topic.

    I've got it working... nearly.

I managed to get the blog index going on domain.com/blog-index but can't get it to work on /blog. Any idea? After renaming the slug of the page from blog-index to blog it doesn't work anymore.

    Thanks again!
