Hundreds of Banned Names, WPMU limit (8 posts)

    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has had issues having in excess of 400 banned names specified in the options setting.

When I attempt to add that amount of names, it blows WPMU.

Anyone know if there is a way to have an external list of banned names?

I'd just go ahead and make those users and blogs yourself and mark them as private or even delete (edit: or spam) them so others can;t get access to them.

400 banned names? o_O At once?

There's no coded limit in there that I'm aware of. It may be that you're adding them all at the same time.

Oh, so you have to add each banned name, one at a time?

Shouldn't have to. I'm sure there's a limit within MySQL as to the length of the database record though that probably can be adjusted.

Well, no not one at a time, but there's a different between adding, say 100, and adding 4 times that.

Gotcha. I will try and add a few at a time and see what happens.

Update: I now have 500+ names in there... :) Thanks again for the pointer... Looks like you were right... no limit, just need to add them a little at a time. :)
