We've been using WordPress MU 2.8.4a for quite some time and recently noticed the reCaptcha plugin (v2.9.6) is marking ALL comments as spam. We get almost no comments on our blogs, so we're not sure if the plugin ever worked. What I see is, if the user enters the correct captcha his comment goes in the Spam folder for that blog. If the user enters the wrong captcha his comment is gone (doesn't show up anywhere). We followed the instructions at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-recaptcha/installation/ for installing the plugin (Forced Activation/Site wide method). Shouldn't the comment either post or go in pending for the blog if the correct captcha is entered?

    Hi rhodes187,

I had the same issue. See http://mu.wordpress.org/forums/topic/17415

You just need to upgrade to 2.9.7

Luckily, I think this problem only started with the latest MU version upgrade to so your window for false positives was hopefully not too great.

I tried running it and it would simply randomly throw up a 404 error... took it down and run another spam filter instead - I wish I could get it to work... I also use the email verification plug-in that requires non-registered users to verify their posts via email everytme they post... really good way from keeing the whacko's with the false emails off the site
