WordPress MU

Hello all,

I am running WP Mu with Buddy Press and have defined a custom permalink structure with /%category%/%post-name%/ but the output is domaine.com/category/actual-category-name/post-name

How can I get rid of the first /category/ ? Its really useless...

FYI : I am using the "subdomain" setup.
I have never run into this issue before and would really appreciate some insight.

It's a standard wordPress issue as the behaviour is the same in single WP.

buddyPress has no effect on post permalinks written in the blog portion.
