Nav Bar issue - Link to Home Page (4 posts)

I very often create a home page and then define that page as the opening page of my blog. This is then displayed in my nav bar. Pretty simple stuff.

Though when I click on that link it sends me to the parent page of my wordpressmu installation.
You can see an example here - http://powers.matthewslaats.com/projects/
If you hover over home in the nav bar it displays that same url in the browser, but when you click on it I'm sent to http://matthewslaats.com/projects/

Any suggestions on how I might be able to remedy this? Is it bad code in the theme?
    All help is greatly appreciated.

    My Best -

Is it an Artseer theme? I've seen their themes do this.

Nope. I'm using Thematic for this. Also tried WPfolio and got the same thing.
    So, it is theme based.
Any ideas on how I can change the code to correct this. Or should I just wait until 3.0 comes out of beta.

    Thanks

I really do not think it's the theme. Yes, I have used thematic. I find if you switch themes, and another theme does the same thing, then it's not theme-specific but site specific.

here's the clues: the generated link is correct. Watch the browser closely. It tries to load the right page for a long time, and at the very end, redirects to the main site.

(there's nothing in 3.0 that would affect this, btw)

What plugins are you running? Did you turn them all off?
