Creating a custom search (4 posts)

I am currently trying to build a site using WPMU and buddypress.

I would like to replace the standard search box with a custom search (either in the header or a sidebar) which would allow you to search for members who are assigned a specific role by location.

What I mean is : The members profile has a field for their city and I allocate different roles to different members (lets say role A , role B and role C ).

Would it then be possible for me to put a search filed on my site which allows visitors to enter the name of a city and get back a list of only “role A” members from this city ?

    Is this possible ?

Thanks in advance for your help

Since this is buddypress-specific, you'll get more replies over in the buddypress forums.

    Thanks for the replies.

Andrea - I already asked the question last week on the buddypress forums but got no replys. I though I'd post the question here in case someone could help.

Anthonyleo - I couldn't see any information on the site you linked to which seems to be a football shirt shop - maybe I missed something ?
