Hi,
On old WPMu versions, we could change the two RSS feeds in the dashboard. Do you have an ID why this functionality has been removed ? Do you plan to re-implement it ? Can we submit paches for it ?
Regards.

I changed mine. I just edited wp-admin/index.php and stuck the feeds I wanted in there.
*chuckle* I'm sure Matt and staff get enough traffic as it is. :)
No idea why it was removed, and I believe in another thread Donncha stated it wasn't coming back.
Edit the file like drmike said, or snag an older copy of that index page, which is what I did.
I just upgraded and was sad to find this was gone :(
I'll edit the index.php file myself as well I suppose.
That's the solution until someone gets around to writing a plugin for it.
I'd rather have the RSS in there myself. That way I know my end users are seeing the announcement blog posts. If they were to modify it to something else, then they wouldn't be getting important spam, um, I mean announcments. :)
I have edited index.php for the new rss feed. It worked for the first time but since it has not updated (neddless to say that the the feed source is fine).
I have read this:
http://mu.wordpress.org/forums/topic.php?id=1568&replies=3
but it does not seems to work.
Any ideas?
(BTW: This thread is listed on http://codex.wordpress.org/WPMU_Commonly_Edited_Core_Files)
i just use http://mysite.mydomain/feed/rss2/ link and feed updated
There's no need to edit the Dashboard now. Create filter functions for the following filters to change the feeds and titles:
dashboard_primary_feed - primary feed url
dashboard_primary_title - primary feed title
dashboard_secondary_feed
dashboard_secondary_title
Where do I edit these? Just change RSS feeds and titles in "wp-admin/index-extra.php" file?
Yep.
Or you could try this plugin:

Thank you.
I've added a very simple plugin to wpmudev.org for anyone who wants to change the dashboard feeds:
http://wpmudevorg.wordpress.com/project/Simple-Dashboard-Feeds
It's better to use than the plugin I made for WP Single as it doesn't add any options to the database.
