    Hi,
When I install wordpress mu, will there be one mysql database per blogger that signs up?

Plus, does it have to be a subdomain??

    Thanks

    1) Only one db for all users. Each user will have his set of tables in this one db.

    2) No. You can have it also in directories: http://www.yourdomain/blog

Actually it's one set of database tables per blog, not user. You still only use one database for your entire MU setup though as well. :)

won't that make it a long db file that may take too long to load after having a few hundred users.

wazimm, it hsould'nt, actually, having seperate4 tables will make things faster. What kills a database is LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG tables. and since you are breaking your long tables into little ones, then your good.

but lots of people have expressed thier concern about the dynamic creation of tables.

the guys that complain about the MU structure are just complaining about their mothers all the time too...

MU is made to be installed using multi-level databases in the future, so you can handle multiple storages too
