I have set up httpd.conf properly with a virtual host, I have added a DNS wild card but when I create a blog and go to the address I get emailed (blogname.domain.com/blogs/) I get a 404 error.

Any idea what is wrong and what I have to fix?

    Best regards,

    Eiso

If you look in the root directory, is the folder actually there?

Hi SEbasic, when i go to blogname.domain.com i end up at the main IP address of my host ( in this case the hosts page )

I am having this exact same problem. My main blog works fine. I set up a user blog and I get a 404 when I try to view it on the subdomain. I also have a similar set-up with wildcard DNS.

I do not see folders for the subdomains in the root.

because there's no folder for subdomains.
I didn't try the vhosts yet but I'm sure you need to copy htaccess.dist to .htaccess and maybe make some modifications (I had to)
