    WordpressMU, Windows, EasyPHP (local)

    Hey !

When I first get to my wordpress, this error message appeared :

"Notice: Undefined index: action in c:\program files\easyphp1-8\www\jukeblogs\wordpressmu\index-install.php on line 425"

    The page after :

    "Creating Database Config File: DONE

Notice: Constant DB_NAME already defined in c:\program files\easyphp1-8\www\jukeblogs\wordpressmu\wp-config.php on line 3

Notice: Constant DB_USER already defined in c:\program files\easyphp1-8\www\jukeblogs\wordpressmu\wp-config.php on line 4

Notice: Constant DB_PASSWORD already defined in c:\program files\easyphp1-8\www\jukeblogs\wordpressmu\wp-config.php on line 5

Notice: Constant DB_HOST already defined in c:\program files\easyphp1-8\www\jukeblogs\wordpressmu\wp-config.php on line 6
Congrats! Your WPMU site has been set up and you have been sent details of your login and password in an email.
    "

I have searched in the forum !

    I enabled :
    - "mod_rewrite.so" in EasyPHP1-8\conf_files\httpd.conf
    - AllowOverride FileInfo Options

Could it has to do with "sendmail" or something like that ?

    Thanks for the answers !

Those are informational notices, not critical errors.

    Last thing...

When I try to reach it after trying to install it :

    Error : "500 Internal Server Error" :

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, admin@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

    Thanks anyway...but any idea ?

Could it be a problem of : "domain path" (table "site" in the DB)

you're on localhost. It won't work. Use localhost.something instead.

(note to self: write tutorial for installing MU on Windows desktop. Sighs.)

Also check the error logs and see if there's anything in there.

Doesn't EasyPHP run PHP as a CGI? I thought that didn't work for WPMu.

    Use localhost.something instead
    ...I use 127.0.0.1, that's fine right ?
But I fixed the "localhost problem" anyway in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts.

    Nothing in the error log..

It's a really simple installation of EasyPHP, on Windows, so I guess it's not run as a CGI...(but I don't really know what that is)

    Still not working...

    Thanks anyway

I have the same issue, on Windows, using the latest version of Apache, PHP and MySQL. Any help?

Same responces and questions as above. What does your error logs state? Are you using EasyPHP? What are you using for a domain name?

    Hi,

Has this issue been resolved. It seems remarkably similar to my issue. I would also like to add however, that I am not recieving any confirmation e-mail - on TWO different e-mail accounts.

Are the e-mails sent via wordpress?

Why cant this install be as easy as a normal wordpress blog?

I believe Andrea pointed out what the issue was up above. In your case though, it's the DNS.

"Why cant this install be as easy as a normal wordpress blog?"

The short answer - because it's not wordpress, it's WPMU. Much, MUCH more complicated to run.
