    It's great to have new version.
    In wpmu 1.1, there isn't plugin folder anymore...
    Where should I put other plugins?
    Also is official 1.1 version and unofficial (above) 1.1 version are same?

    How do we perform an upgrade?

    qza: if you're going to use plugins that users can activate and deactivate, just create a folder called plugins in wp-content

    I would also like to know if official 1.1 version and unofficial (above) 1.1 version are same?

    I have the files from the trac, the files are the same as the offcial 1.1, but the package are different

    This may strike some as odd, but doesn't it stand to reason that maybe it isn't officially ready yet? I'd at least think that if it were, it would be updated on the download page here.

    :-\

    This is fantastic news. Just read the entire changelog, many thanks Donncha!

    -- Note to self, read changelog from bottom up...

    Looking at the trac, looks like Donncha tagged r864 as mu1.2.

    Thats just to "avoid confusion" ;-)

    Not sure if anyone else experienced this problem when upgrading, but I lost the WYSIWYG editor. Back to 1.0 until something a bit more "official" is around.

    I need a fresh installation.
    Is version 1.1 the good one (stable) or is it better to instal first version 1.0 and wait for a stable version and then upgrade?

    Yep, WYSIWYG seems to be broken.

    Patch here:

    You may want to mention that over in wp.org land as well. There's a number of threads covering that issue over there. It may or may not be related.

    Actually, trac mentions it should be "added" when it should in fact be "modified" instead. The original function _mce_config_url can be found on line 1269 in the r869 release.

    Adding will duplicate the function and produce an error.

    Thanks mrball for pointing out the patch.

    Strange. I have a test WPMU install based on a branch in my local Subversion repository, and my live WPMU install based on the trunk. I rolled out 1.1 to my test environment, added the TinyMCE patch mentioned by mrball above and I have the WYSIWYG editing working. Happy with it, I merged the changes to my trunk and rolled them out, upgrading my live install to 1.1 also. However, even with the patch in place, my live install still has no WYSIWYG editing. A diff of the two environments reveals that the only remaining differences are some images, some theme code and one line in wp-config.php since they each have their own db tableset.

    Any ideas?

    He probably just hasn't updated the download page. I know Mark and Ryan had them all in Mexico last week doing wp.com coding.

    Well, so they say they were doing coding...

    Coding... in Mexico?
    Riiiiight.

    if ($glass == empty) {
    FillItUp();
    }

    Yeah. Coding. :D

    Is that what the kids are calling it these days?

    Please tell me it's easier to code in Mexico, as it's pretty interesting to code in freezing temps. :-/

    Wouldn't know.

    Here's the blog post about the trip in case anyone hasn't seen it.

    Most of them are wearing sweatshirts in the last picture. Maybe it wasn't too warm down there.

    edit: Just noticed that Donncha wasn't in any of those pictures. Did he get stuck with the camera all the time?

    I don't believe Donncha went. I can't find it now but I could of sworn that I was reading a post on one of their blogs that mentioned he and one other person weren't going.

    Edit: found it. Note Matt's comment.

    Hello,

    I have some questions :

    - If I chech the roadmap, I can see that we are close to the official release of 1.0
    - When I go to the changelog, I can see that we are in 1.1.1
    - Few weeks ago, a release was tagged 1.2

    Can you please inform me when the next version will be ready ? (I know, when it will be ready ;) ). I need to know that as I use a French blog, and the untranslated sentences annoys me, but I know it has been done in the next release.

    Thanks for your help,
    Benjamin

    When will 1.1(.1) be available for public download as an official release ?

    You can grab a nightly from here:
    http://blogs.linux.ie/download/wpmu/

    The 1.2 was a typo. It was fixed here:
    http://trac.mu.wordpress.org/changeset/877

    He says 1.1.1 will be out shortly but all that is is thte nightly with a tag on it.
