Two of the six themes, Almost Spring and Ocadia, on the Featured Themes page, http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/ , create an error in WPMU:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare ocadia_sidebar() (previously declared in /home/freeblog/public_html/wp-content/themes/ocadia/functions.php:22) in /home/freeblog/public_html/wp-content/themes/ocadia/functions.php on line 40
You need to make sure and use themes edited to work with wpmu. If you check the wpmudev.org site there's an entire theme pack prefixed to work with mu.
They don't. We've discussed it many times in the past and a search will pull up the threads. The customizer breaks with WPMU on the newer version of those themes.
You have to use older versions of those themes. They're in the theme pack download from http://wpmudevorg.wordpress.com
