I edited my header and footer files to include my adsense code. http://allalaskans.com/ Some how a user was able to delete my code and substitute theres. http://allalaskans.com/lisa42/

Any idea how they did this? What else could they be messing with? How do I prevent it? I deleted about 10 of these already, left this one for an example.

    Very strange.

So it's all in the same place, but your user id (or code, whatever it's called) was what was changed?

Do you have any plugins enabled that allow a user to edit/add anything? Like css changes, or additional text information?

I'm not 100% sure, but I know the basic text widget allows html, at least to some extent. I'm not sure if anything is parsed out or not, since I haven't tried it.

i looked in your links, and see the same adsense codes on both ads. Are you sure it's not rather spyware on your local machine that would dynamically replace adsense found on websites ?

I'll confirm that. The code for both your main home page and for the user site listed above match for the user account specific info (aka, your publisher id).

Quenting's got a good idea. Could be spyware or something. I couldn't say for sure, since I don't have any spyware problems at all. Ever. :D

My bad. Double checked and it's my adsense code alright. Don't know what I was looking at last night. However, that doesn't explain the different ad location and colors.

Or are you all saying you are seeing the ads in the same place? They should be at the very top above <div id="page"> and just above <div id="footer"> at the bottom. The top ads background should be the same as the body #E7E7E7 and the bottom ad #FFFFFF. Both should be centered. That's the way they should appear to you on the main page http://allalaskans.com

At http://allalaskans.com/lisa42/ I'm seeing the top ad after the end of the<div id="header">. Both ads have #FFFFFF background and neither are centered.

Is that what you all are seeing?

I'm 99% sure I don't have any spyware/malware on my machine. I'm pretty meticulous about keeping my protection up to date and conduct regular scans to be sure.

it seems an effect of your theme. you use default wpmu themplate called "home". the site's main page (http://allalaskans.com/) and the users' page are not same.
please count the adsense code in the templates php files and compare them.

Well now I feel like a real idiot. I must not have updated the default header/footer when I completed my edits on the home header/footer. Everything is fine now that I made the edits.

Thanks for looking and helping everyone. I panicked for no reason.
