Installing and activating widgets? Wonderfully easy.

But I can't drag and drop them into the sidebar.

Before I answer that question, I have a new bug to squash. I tried to "globally activate" widgets.1.0/widgets.php and see this:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 155132 bytes) in /home/cburell/public_html/wp-includes/cache.php on line 48

Major Tom to ground control: This makes no sense to me. The file is smaller than the allowed memory size, so how can it be "exhausted"?

I'd be so thankful for any help.

yup. more. i'm getting the same error message for every widget I try to globally activate.
