WordPress MU

Ok, i've uploaded everything using smartFTP and then went on to my index and found this error: Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/www/apex07.freehostia.com/index.php on line 1

can someone please tell me what i've done wrong.

Could be missing quote, missing semi-colon:

Assuming you followed all install instructions, and you understand in wpmu you don't edit wp-config, its configured automatically during install.
