have uninstalled a plugin, because i had set its defaults improperly and FUBARed the system. so i removed the plugin files, then reinstalled them, but when i try to activate the plugin again from the plugin admin page it seems the defaults reemerge. my guess is the config for the plugin is stored in a separate file or db somewhere. where can i find this?

Look in the plugin and it'll say where it put things in the db. Some put them in the options table, some don't.

it'll all be in the one database though.

Ask the plugin author.
