WordPress MU

Hi,
installed wpmu on my local machine:
Debian etch, php 4.4.4, mysql 5.0.38, apache2.
I choise not to use virtual hosts (blah.com/blog1).

after I enter the admin user and password, I get right back to the login screen - without any error messages.

any idea?

Windows, Apache 2, php 5.1.6, mysql 4.1

I use old posts to solve my problem.
I use 'wordpress' as host name, and after changing its name to 'wordpress.loca' the problem has been solved
