After install it says user/pass would be emailed, but email was not sent. Install looks good, what do I do now?

Posted 16 years ago #Well the first thing I would try would be searching the forums here for previous discussions on the topic.
Next thing I would do, as per those other threads, would be to check your email servers regular and error logs to see what happened to the email that was sent.

Posted 16 years ago #Done all that. No email was sent I have full access to the server and the email account, it is good and active. deleted and re-installed, same thing with different email address...it simply doesn't send anything.
Hacked the db so I'm in...what other, if any, instructions would also be included in the email, or was it just user/pass?

wp_login() should immediately return true
Log in with 'admin' with ANY password.
Change your password.
Undo the change you made.
Make sure the outside world can't see your blog before you start this process....
