    when I added a user to the site admin list, the password was changed. why does this happen and how can I change it so it does not do this?

    I really need to know this as soon as possible.

    ps, when i take the user off the site admin list there password goes back to the way it was.

    i figured that there password may have been reset to the admin password, so i tried changing a user to site admin, and using the admin password on their account. still did not work

    Thanks again Automattic staff for once again blowing off the conditions of these forums. So glad you think so highly of those trying to help out here.

    I really need to know this as soon as possible.

    Well if you can't wait for the volunteers to get back to you and ask for any details since you really don't give any, then may I suggest getting paid support?

    Bumping within about 30 minutes is considered very VERY rude, especially when you were still the top post anyway I believe.

    So when you check the password field within the database, does the md5 record change when a user gets promoted?

    When you make this change to the site admit list, are we talking about the one located at Dashboard -> Site Admin -> Options or Dashboard -> Users

    What else have you done for debugging? You have done debugging, right?

    ok. I checked again. and the password for the user does NOT change. But still.
    when I make a person a site admin, their password does not work

    ps: this is under site admin -> options
    on the feild of:
    Administration Settings -> Site Admins

    ps,ps: forgive me for bumping. It was rude, and I am very sorry.
