Splash page on blogger's blog. (3 posts)

I have a blogger that wants a splash page to be shown before the main site. No problem. I rename index.php to index2.php and put the splash page html in index.php. My only problem is now I don't know what to link to to get to index2 e.php.

If this was a regular WP I don't think it'd be as tricky, but since all bloggers share the common path, I don't want to have someone else pull up the splash page by accident.

I was thinking maybe a switch or something and calling the splash page from the index.php file itself.. but would that be kind of messy?

Looking for suggestions on how you'd do this and contain it to the theme directory, but I'd hate to have the visitor redirected to something like:

    http://domain.name.com/wp-content/theme/theme.name/splash.php

Don;t have to do all that. The blogger in question can set up a Page and tell it to use that as a splash page in their own backend.

Yep. And then other folks could still use that theme.
