So, I got WP-ยต beautifully set up at http://www.rationalblogs.org, but when I attempt to set up a blog at a subdomain, the info fails to propagate through DNS, and I get a "DNS entry not found". Any ideas as to why this us the case?

Did you add the wildcard dns entry?

    Er, no. Thank you.

I'm more of a coder, not a server administrator, so I occasionally get hung up on something like this. Again, thanks.

Now, here's part of the problem. My server is shared, so I don't have any great access to config settings, and the primary interface is cPanel. I'm trying to get access to WHM, but any way to avoid the necessity for that would be greatly appreciated.

There really isn't an easy way around it. If you don't want to use WHM, then your pretty much stuck with subdirectory WPMU install.

Ask your host to do it for you. It's a one-line edit.
