Private Blogs - Is this possible? And a couple of newbie questions (3 posts)

    Hi All!

Is it possible to set up certain blogs so that they can only be seen by registered users? For instance we want to use some of our MU blogs to update our customers, and enable them to subscribe to the RSS etc, so there might be 50 workers from that company who need access to domain.com/blogX but we don't want the content available to the general public.

Obviously I've hidden it from robots etc. already.

Problem 2 - one of my users can't centre a logo that's uploaded. He's using the visual editor, and the html is fine (I think)
    <p style="text-align: center"><img src="http://www.domain.co.uk/images/mklogoN3.GIF" alt="Logo" /></p>

But when you save it the aligning code disappears.

Problem 3 - What would you say are the essential plugins I should upload?

Google analytics, Akismet, Google Sitemaps, All in one SEO are the ones at the moment...

    Thanks in advance!

privacy - check out this plugin: http://wpmudevorg.wordpress.com/project/More-Privacy-Options

code being stripped - check out the kses.php file, add in there the stuff being stripped. Search the forum for more info.

Essential plugins? Depends on your site. We've also discussed this before, search away.

although I gotta tell ya, "we don't want the content available to the general public" and plugins for SEO seem to be mutually exclusive. ;) (Yes, you can stop one blog from being indexed.)

Haha - thanks Andrea - yeah, ironically we want some blogs to be all SEO'd up, and others to be hidden. People - weird things aren't we!

I'll have a play with the kses.php file and let you know how I get on!
