I'm going to be offering financial blogs from a financial portal / resource type site. The main finance portal / site will also be wordpress based as well.....
Something is inherently telling me that I may want to have a separate installation for the core site and a separate MU installation for the free blogs. That way in case anything gets hairy with MU, the main site is not affected.... what are you thoughts?
My concern is that I would then need to have the Free blogs / MU installation originating on an installation on another similar domain name when ideally using the same domain for both would be best.. example: mainsite.com / free finance blogs at: mainsiteblogs.com
If I install MU on mainsite.com/blogs/ does this mean that every new blog address would need to be newblog.mainsite.com/blogs or could it be newblog.mainsite.com?
