    Hello,
WPMU could be a solution for my problem:
I'm searching a powerful CMS that would allow me to manage several minisites:
    - each one in their own language
    - each with their own moderators/content writers
    - each one on their own folder (i.e. website.com/france)
    - but every one of them controlled by an admin in one and only interface.
Could someone please let me know if WPMU would be appropriated?
    Thank you!

You can have the backend interface in one language only. If the moderators from all the counties speak at least one common language (English is default of course), than you should be ok using WP MU.
You can have frontend translated in different themes, one theme for each language.

That said, you can have frontend in many languages, but backend in only one.

Anyway I'd love to be able to have backend in German, Slovak and English and be able to set a backend language per user.

    Hey Gang, is this doable?

It works on Wordpress.com so it is definitely doable. However I cannot see any language options in the WPMU 1.5 RC1.

Woohoo, I've done it, so it is definitely doable.

I was telling rubbish and ignore the above.

You can have frontent and backand in any language you want.
Just leave the language files (.mo) in the folder "wp-content/languages" (on WP singleuser it is "wp-includes/languages").

WP MU is definitely the package you are looking for.

You can download many language files from the http://wpmudevorg.wordpress.com/localization.php

    Hi all!

Many thanks for your answers and sorry for replying with such a delay!

I was still concerned about the moderation thing:
    - each minisite should have its own moderators/content writers
    - but an admin should be able to control every one of them through an unique interface

And by the domain thing also:
    - each minisite should be in its own folder/URL (i.e. website.com/france)

Can both those things be done?
