Joomla Password in WPMU? (5 posts)

Hi! I have a Joomla 1.5 install and WPMU in a subfolder. I have implemented the Joomlauth plugin, but I'm trying to migrate existing registered users over from my Joomla DB.

Joomla! 1.5 uses md5 to hash the passwords. When the passwords are created, they are hashed with a 32 character salt that is appended to the end of the password string.

If I import those password directly into the WPMU DB, will they work? Do I need to do something to make them compatible?

    Thanks,
    Darrin

Did you figure out How to do That?
    How’s the integration so far?

If you have 2500 joomla users you will get 20000 tables in your vpmu db. I wonder how you will open the phpmyadmin :)

Easy. phpmyadmin can be set up for multiple pages. Our defaults are a hundred tables along the left pane.
