Alright, I'm upgrading now to 1.1.1. We'll see, if it shows up, or not. :-)

After upgradeing to 1.1.1 stays the wpmufeed still hidden...

Well I noticed that they (feeds) won't "appear" instantaneously.

It's the actual menu link being referred to.

Not sure what the problem is, though.

So under Site Admin, there absolutely isn't a "Site Feed" link? Nothing?

Running any menu plugins or something, which may be impacting it?

You are logged in as the overall MU admin, right?

I'm overall MU admin. I have the standard MU plugins installed. Yesterday I tried the list-all-posts plugin. It works. It doesn't have a menu, but the function exists and does its job.

Something is very, very, goofy on your install.

Maybe a corrupt or missing file? If you haven't customized any of the admin files, or the ones in wp-include, maybe try uploading them again?

this plugin doesnt seem to work for blogs subdir installations. ITdam says something like that in a couple of different threads here and on his site. i thought i saw a thread with a fix a long time ago, but i cant find it now. any ideas?

one issue:

the sitewide feed is set-up to use this url in my backend: http://zice.ro/wpmu-feed/

but if I open up my sourcecode of http://zice.ro/ I see this:

how comes it says

which is correct, but I don't have any clue why the first entry is wrong with that underscore...

not working for me either. i uploaded it to /mu-plugins and i dont see anything new under Site Admin nor does /wpmu-feed/ work.

running 1.1.1 w/ subdomains.

The Site Feed menu has suddenly appeared on my Site Admin menu.. it wasn't there 5 minutes ago... honest!

it happened to me too. i tried to use it months ago and never got the menu. this time i installed it and still didnt get the menu but i wasnt where i could delete it. when i got home BAM! it was there.

My question is how would I pull some of the content into home.php so I can display it on the front page? I've tried some of the code examples and they didn't seem to work. Could someone post the full html, divs and all, so I can paste it into home.php and see what I get? Thank you very much!

Try talking a look at how it's done currently on the wp-admin/index.php and wp-admin/index-extra.php files. The system is using the fetch_rss function and that should work for you.

I am also having the same problem with this plugin... WPMU 1.2.1 using sub-domains, placed in mu-plugins, uploaded and nothing, no menu....

Ive been sifting through the posts here and it seems like there are allot of others having the same problem. Does anyone know what it is?

Ive seen one promissing post addressing the issue (It magically appeared one day) which really doesnt help.

That post was from me - sorry if its not really helpful but that is what happened. I installed it, it definitely was not there, then a day later it appeared.

I did wonder if it was something odd to do with caching but no other plugins have behaved like that.

when ever things go wrong or dont sow up, clear your cache, hard refresh and then see wht happens. i had the same problem months ago and simply gave up on it. had i followed these steps, i could have been using this plugin a long time ago

Yes Ive done both and still nothing, Ive tryed reinstalling and nothing..... hmmmmmmm....

It installs
It shows menu
It shows feed

BUT...

Feed is empty. It is generated (14 queries 0.348 seconds, 10 queries 0.275 seconds, 7 queries 0.256 seconds. (cached), 9 queries 0.257 seconds.), but no posts there.

I:
tried to clean cache
created posts in different blogs
updated posts in different blogs
posted comments
changed PHP version from 5 to 4(dreamhost)
waited for a while (15 minutes)

Probably, tomorrow, I will go to zoo. If it will help :)

PHP Error log is empty so I'm absolutely stuck. Anyone can help?

Not a plugin, no.

There's ways to code up the page though. Several ways, actually.

Quick and dirty?

Run the feed thru Fedburner.
Use their tools to generate a little quick snip of javascript. (easy, you click a couple buttons)
paste that code in your template.

So, how do I get this to work on a site that isn't using sub-domains?

I know it's posted somewhere, but all of this is greek to me! Does anyone have the specific instructions to edit this to make it work with sub-directories?

Hi! Small question...

I'm using WPMU 1.2.3 and new Sitewide Feed plugin but posts in my RSS agregator (ex Google Reader) are cut down after "<!--more-->"

Everything after "Read more" doesn't show.

Why?

Is there any idea how to don't cut posts after "Read more"?

Is there a way to leave a single blog out of the sitewide feed?

Either that or mark the blog as not to be indexed by the search engines. That should leave it out.

It does leave it out, right? Or you do have to code for that as well? It's been so long since I looked at this.

I don't remember , Doc. If it does, then there is the downside of "supposedly" no index, no follow in the header of the document. Unless that isn't a concern, then it doesn't matter.

For me, if the rare occasion comes up, I just hard code it and make a note.

When I wrote the plugin, it was meant to show everything, big brother style. The 'noindex/nofollow' option in Wordpress didn't exist yet but I'll factor it in when I'm updating the plugin next time.

Also, at the time, subdirectory install's weren't working and were unsupported so my plugin did not support them either.

My plugin is in need of an update, but in the meantime, I've changed the plugin to support subdirectory installations if anyone would like to take it for a test drive.

Download the new version and use url's like these if you use subdirectory installations:
