anotheroA lot of problems with installing wpmu are caused by the .htaccess file. I'm not that familiar with mod_rewrite, but maybe it's a good idea to post the .htaccess file for as well users who want to use vhost and for users who don't want to use vhost.
(My blog still doesn't work by the way and I think that is caused by an error in the .htacces file)
