overriding is_ssl (1 post)

    Hi,

Is there a way to override is_ssl() defined in functions.php?

It is useful to override it in case your application server is not the same server that terminates the ssl.

For example, if you have a front end like lighty or nginx that terminates the ssl, and then calls apache on some other port than 80 (without using SSL, because you're assuming your front-end back-end internal network is secure).

    Thanks,
    Oren
