WordPress MU

Hello

Can anyone kindly explain to me how to translate or rephrase this "copyright" text:
"...is proudly powered by WordPress MU running on ...Create a new blog and join in the fun!"

I have spent 2 hours looking for it in all the themes I have and I coulden't find it except in few themes. Even in those themes where I found it in the footer.php when I translated it, the translation showed up in the footer but it seems that there is another footer!!! so the same text "...is proudly powered by WordPress MU" is still present under the one I translated in the footer!

I searched in all wpmu install files trying to figure out where can I change it ... but with no avail!

Help me before it's too late :(

It depends.

Do you have any plugins in the mu-plugins folder that insert this into the footer? It's quite a common thing.

I had this plugin "MU-WP-Footer HTML" which I've installed maybe 2 months ago but forgot about it. Now I deactivated it, and the 3 hour headache is finally gone!
