Generally speaking, I've never understood why the wp-admin (login) page in wpmu or wordpress for that matter is so nicely put together, while the wp-signup page looks like a dog's breakfast. Makes more sense to have first time users impressed with the look and feel of your signup page rather than those leaving, no?
Anyhow, after doing plenty of searching and reading posts regarding customizing the wp-signup page, it appears there's no easy solution to making it at least more appealing to the eye than hacking away at wp-signup.php.
So, I'm there, using wpmu 2.7 beta, but can anyone share with me where the code for the profile area (full name, avatar) on wp-signup is generated? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
Note: Also using Buddypress, so perhaps it's buried within those plugins?
