Thanks for changing the comments settings... just one thing, the:
"Comment author must have a previously approved comment"
is unchecked & that could probably lead to a lot of comment spam... would it be OK to have it turned on by default?

It probably doesn't matter because wp-hashcash and bad_behaviour are both installed by default and they should stop 99.999999% of spam attempts!
That sounds better :o)
I guess as we can edit settings manually on each blog anyway (as well as email all users) we should be OK.
Definitely a case of dealing with the problem -if- it ever arises.
